Arsa

By Bruce Shawkey

ARSA is an acronym for Auguste Reymond SA. Reymond founded the company in 1898 with a small team of watchmakers to manufacture the pocket watches that today bear his name. In the 1930s, the company, in cooperation with Unitas, began producing watches with chronometer, chronograph, moon phase and alarm movements.

In the late 1950s, ARSA developed a digital version of their famous Arsamatic timepiece with jump hours. The company is still in business and can be found at https://augustereymond.ch
